Membership Update: # Returning members and new members.
Progress on membership cards, completed. Working on discounts at local retailers.
Introduce purpose of discussion for larger projects:
to disseminate information to new aquarists
to filter down the information available to the basics (to fit on index card sized tank inserts)
to prepare for fall membership drive and tank insert workshop
to prepare for Jan 2003 presentation on setting up a new aquarium
Roundtable discussion on various methods of setting up a new aquarium.
Discuss processes for fall workshop; printing plans/costs, distribution options, idea of coupling with membership drives at various locations to distribute inserts?, second meeting to discuss results?, etc.
Special Announcements / Auction closing
FOTAS trip discussion: Car pool options? Cost for whole weekend will be approx $20. Poster board ideas/volunteers?($)
Addtl pages in newsletter/complimentary to (all) petshops with flyers?($)
We will also begin exchanging newsletters with the TCA too.
March meeting will be on the 9th. March 17th will be a special demonstration at Kickingbird Pets on "How to set up a Planted Aquarium" presented by Ken Kilbourn.
