Meeting Minutes, April 8th, 2001
Regular Monthly Meeting
The March 30th Membership Drive went smoothly. Thanks to Lee Gans and Bailin Shaw for assisting Ken and myself. We noted an error in our brochures and on our flyers that was actually too late to correct. The original April meeting date was set for April 15th which turned out to be Easter Sunday, so the date was moved back to April 8th. This was reflected in all subsequent emails to members and prospective members, as well as being announced at the March Meeting. However, it was not changed on the flyers or brochures and may have led to some confusion. I apologize if it did. We did have a pretty good turnout none-the-less. 8 Members were in Attendance and we had 7 guests, 3 of whom consequently joined. Rick Niles and Steve and Denise Edwards. Guests in attendance were John, Kevin, and Stephanie. Welcome to everyone! The April Fundraising Comm report was postponed until the May meeting to allow Ken and Sean more time to come up with solid results. Announced First Annual Field Trip; A behind-the-scenes look at the Aquaticus program at the OKC Zoo. Date: April 29th, Time: 2 PM. All those desiring to attend must have paid their dues by the date of the tour. I will have a draft of a Constitution and By-laws by the May meeting as well. Sean and Ramey are still in need of submissions for the May newsletter. If you have any ideas or writings you'd like to submit please forward them to Sean at sean@theaquariumexchange.com Our May meeting will begin the series on Marine tanks. The first presentation will be given by The Reef Shop on basic salt-water set-ups. Hope to see everyone there. Joe Anderson
