Bring meeting to order
Welcome all present and pass out survey/sign-in forms
Mention silent auction, noting specific items, and Program/Committee description sheets
Working on Constitution, By-Laws, and Mission statement & Goals. Will have available for group by May meeting. Briefly outline mission and goals
Mission Statement:
The OKCAA is a not-for-profit aquarium hobby organization dedicated to increasing the awareness of and interest in the aquarium hobby, as well as the biological & ecological issues involved in keeping aquatic plants & animals; all in a spirit of education and entertainment.
Goals:
We strive to create public awareness and interest in the hobby
We strive to provide education on the biological and ecological issues involved in the keeping of aquatic plants and animals
We endeavor to maximize the satisfaction of our member hobbyists and the living conditions of the plants and animals kept
Have each person present introduce themselves, tell how they found out about OKCAA, why they're interested (why here), and what they keep
Silent Auction format (80/20 split) have 20 minutes to complete process
Executive Council Meeting
As committees go, I am Program, PR and Membership Committee, each of you represents either/or both the NW and FR committees
Newsletter Committee to look over submitted items and have new format by April meeting date
Newsletter Comm to have mailing process outlined by April meeting date and formally ready to mail out by May deadline.
FR Comm may need to meet several extra times prior to Auction date. Is September enough time?
Note need for banner and advertising outlines (submitted to PR committee by May meeting)
Web site design elements: Message board, on-line application, auto forwarding to Membership Comm Chair, President, and Treasurer
Banking account progress.

September Auction
Acknowledge desire to hold annual auction. Mention Fundraising Committee members, Sean and Ken. Suggest need for committee to have 20 contact names ready for submission by next meeting date (April). Let anyone interested in helping out know to contact either Ken or Sean before that time.
March 31st Membership Drive
Note desire for "psuedo" raffle item to draw interest to table. Winner to be drawn at April meeting. (FR Comm needs raffle donation by March 31st). Need to be present to win.
Note desire for a name the newsletter contest. Will have materials ready by March 31st and will continue thru April mtg. Winning name to be decided on at May mtg. Winner will receive a $10.00 gift certificate. (FR Comm needs gift certificate donation by May meeting date). Need Volunteers (sign-up sheet available and ready) 8-4 event

July: Members-Only tour of Sanctuary Gardens with presentation by Oklahoma Fisheries (Gene) on nuisance species
August: Either an "Aquarium Camp" with Salvation Army or special topic

Oct: Video Presentation: History of Hobby, Wayne Leibel

Dec: Informal Dinner (members only)
Reminders
Membership dues need to be submitted by April meeting date ($12.00 per individual/$15.00 for couples)
